Annual Fund

Support Immediate Need Projects

The Annual Fund enables us to carry out projects that have an immediate benefit to current Cheltonians.

Projects take place across a range of Academic departments, Houses and College and Prep grounds, including many that contribute towards achieving our target of becoming a net zero campus by 2041, College's bicentenary.

Each year, the trustees of the Cheltenham College Charitable Trust (Charity no. 1006429) will decide which projects will take place. Decisions are made based on available funds for a particular project, as well as the capacity to deliver a project in the context of any other work being carried out at College.

If you wish to specify which project you would like to support, please add a comment on the online donation form, or contact Sebastian Bullock, Development Director, on development@cheltenhamcollege.org or 01242 265689.

Ways to Give to the Annual Fund

Join the 1841 Society

By setting up a regular donation to the Annual Fund

The 1841 Society celebrates College's long history of support from generous donors since its founding in 1841, by bringing together all those who support through regular giving. You can set up a direct debit online to make a regular gift (monthly or annually) of any size.

Donors setting up a regular gift of at least £20 per month or £200 per annum will become members of the 1841 Society, which celebrates College's long history of support from generous donors since its founding in 1841. Members of the 1841 Society will have their names carved onto their own wooden ‘book spine’ housed on our 1841 Society bookcase in the Anne Cadbury Resource Room, and will receive project updates and an invitation to Speech Day.

If you are a UK taxpayer, help your donation go further by completing the online declaration to add 25p of Gift Aid for every £1 you donate.

Giving from the USA

Tax-efficient gifts from US taxpayers can be made via the British Schools and Universities Foundation (BSUF).

Visit www.bsuf.org/donate to donate via BSUF, naming Cheltenham College as the Approved Institution beneficiary.

Please also let us know that a donation has been made so we can thank you and ensure we receive your donation in our quarterly payments from BSUF: development@cheltenhamcollege.org

Please note that in order to retain its status as a US 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation and ensure that gifts are tax-deductible, BSUF must retain legal discretion over the disbursement of funds. BSUF will pass gifts to Cheltenham College on a quarterly basis denominated in Sterling and will not take any commission on gifts they receive.
