What is the Cheltonian Society?

The Cheltonian Society aims to connect the Cheltenham College and Cheltenham Prep worldwide community through social events and reunions, professional networking opportunities, sharing news and an online network.

Membership of the Cheltonian Society is free and automatic for:

Old Cheltonians (OCs), who attended Cheltenham College or Cheltenham Prep for at least one year (including those who left before Upper Sixth)
Current College & Prep parents
Past College & Prep parents
Current College & Prep staff
Past College & Prep staff

All of the above automatically become members of the Society. Members who choose to can create an online profile to join the Cheltonian Society online network through this website. This gives access to online networking, reconnecting with old friends, booking event tickets, and more.

The broad aims of the Cheltonian Society are to:

Engender a deep and long-lasting connection to Cheltenham College for all Society members (OCs, parents, staff).
Enable Society members to network with other members to support their career development.
Encourage Society members to support Cheltenham College through volunteering their time and experience, or through donations to Cheltenham College Charitable Trust.

Cheltonian Society events are planned under the following categories:

Reunion events, designed to allow maximum time for Old Cheltonians to reconnect with each other and College - Chapel, Dining Hall, their House, and College sport.
Networking events, for Society members to connect with others working in their field.
Local social events, linked to Cheltenham College or local area events, such as College sport or music, Cheltenham Festivals, Cheltenham Cricket Festival, and other Cotswold events.
International events, where possible.

The Society Team

The Society is run by a small team at Cheltenham College, guided by the Cheltonian Society Committee which is made up of OCs, current & past parents, and current staff.

The Cheltonian Society office closes for two weeks over Christmas and New Year, and for a short period during the College summer holidays. Periods when the office is closed are announced on this website.
