Sebastian Bullock (College staff 1998-2025) was part of the Cheltenham College community for nearly 30 years and fulfilled many different roles: Housemaster of Boyne House, teacher and Head of Economics, Duke of Edinburgh leader, rowing enthusiast, and Cheltonian Society & Development Director. He was a man of great humility, integrity and kindness, an adventurer in both spirit and action (reaching the summit of Everest in 2006), and a devoted family man.
A Memorial Service will be held in College Chapel on Sunday 18 May for family, friends and the wider Cheltenham College community to come together to celebrate Sebastian’s life.

As the capacity of Chapel has been restricted in recent years due to fire regulations, all guests are asked to register their attendance in advance.

Service Livestream
The Memorial Service will be livestreamed for all who are unable to be there in person.

Donations in lieu of flowers
At the family’s request, donations collected at the service will be divided between Sue Ryder palliative and bereavement support, Longfield Community Hospice, Pancreatic Cancer UK, and the Edward Wilson Bursary Endowment Fund.

When registering, please let us know if you have any access requirements.
Wheelchair users: there are a limited number of wheelchair spaces in College Chapel – please let us know if you require a wheelchair space or would like to transfer to the pew seating.
After the service, refreshments will be served in Chapel Quad/Dining Hall (depending on the weather). There are four steps up into Dining Hall. An alternative route into Dining Hall can be provided - please let us know if this will be required.
Parking
Parking at Chapel is strictly limited to close family and pre-booked blue badge parking only. To request a blue badge parking space, please email society@cheltenhamcollege.org or call 01242 265694.
For all other guests, limited parking will be available at Cheltenham College Sports Centre off Thirlestaine Road and at Cheltenham College Prep School (both a 5-10 minute walk to Chapel). If these are both full, the nearest public parking is at Bath Terrace Car Park, GL50 2BA.
