Pippa's Guardians

Established in 1997 by Pippa Hughes, Pippa's Guardians is a family-run guardianship organisation which supports the welfare of international students at some of the best boarding schools in the UK.

Boarding schools require all international students to have a Guardian, aged over 25, who is a resident in the UK. Whilst schools are responsible for a child's welfare during the school term, there are many times, such as exeats, half terms, holidays or when a child is sick, when the responsibility falls to the Educational Guardian to take care of a child. And that is where we come in.

Pippa's Guardians brings many years of experience with a professional and highly personalised service to each student in our care. We have a unique network of highly experienced Area Managers providing exceptional levels of care to our students across the country, ensuring that they gain all the benefits and opportunities of adventure, independence, confidence and new experiences, without the accompanying risk. This allows parents to feel confident that their children are well cared for and can fulfil their potential. Furthermore, our hand-picked Host Families provide a warm, caring and safe 'home away from home' during term breaks. Our families are carefully selected and personally known to us, and offer the very best environment to study, rest and relax.

The opportunity to become a host family for an international student is open to anyone in the Cheltonian Society community, and if you would like to find out more about what is involved, please contact hostfamilies@pippasguardians.co.uk or call 01684 252757.
