Last month's saw the CCF Sword of Honour Parade, in brilliant sunshine with 180 cadets on the square. Returning as inspecting officer was Old Cheltonian Will Martin (NH, 2014) - now an officer with 16 Air Assault Brigade, having been commissioned into the Grenadier Guards after Sandhurst. Will is a wonderful example of where CCF can lead.
CCF shapes something in young people that goes beyond the parade ground: the ability to lead under pressure, to support those around them, and to carry themselves with quiet confidence. You could see this in the precision of the cadets, the pride of the families watching, and the warmth of an occasion that marked the end of another exceptional year.
The RGBW Sword of Honour — the parade's highest accolade — was presented to current pupil Scarlet. The evening concluded with the CCF Dinner Night, a fitting celebration for Upper Sixth cadets and their proud parents.
