In May, OCs Tor Allan (Xt, 2025), Rex Knight (BH, 2025), and Jim White (L, 2025) are starting a team for the Rhino Charge in Kenya. 

The Rhino Charge (https://rhinocharge.co.ke/) is an iconic off-road 4x4 motorsport event held in a secret location in Kenya each year and raises over £1.5 million (around 300 million KSH) a year for Rhino Ark, a charity focused on conservation efforts across Kenya. Tor, Rex and Jim are seeking both corporate and private sponsorship for their team to help raise funds for this charity.

During the Rhino Charge, cars must cross extreme terrain and reach set checkpoints across the course in the shortest straight-line distance possible. It is known as one of the toughest off-road events in the world to complete. However, the main aim of the event is to raise funds for Rhino Ark. 

Our OCs will be the youngest team to ever compete in the event. While they are a new entrant team, last September they competed in a similar event called the Elephant Charge in Zambia, where the team (Car 20) won awards for Best International Team as well as being the 4th highest fundraisers. Tor has also competed in and finished the Rhino Charge while at College, working as a runner for a different team.

At the moment, they are rebuilding and modifying the car for the upcoming Rhino Charge, as well as raising money for the event. The team aims to raise over £15,000, and any donation made to the team will go directly to Rhino Ark. Both private and corporate sponsorship are very welcome, and the group are offering advertising space on the car and on their social media for any companies that would like to get involved.
