Boathouse BBQ & Picnic
Saturday 9 May saw the return of Cheltenham College’s annual Boathouse BBQ, which welcomed pupils, past and present staff, families, and Old Cheltonians for a memorable afternoon beside the river. The occasion provided a wonderful opportunity for the College rowing community to reunite and celebrate.
It was particularly special to welcome Malcolm Mennie, Head of Rowing during the 1970s, whose presence served as a poignant reminder of the programme’s rich heritage. The afternoon also saw many members of the rowing community proudly sporting the iconic Caterpillar ties and blazers - a fitting symbol of the longstanding traditions that continue to define rowing at Cheltenham College today.
