Malcolm Leeding passed away in December 2025, aged 85. The following tribute has been provided by Malcolm's wife of 61 years, Prue.
Malcolm attended the Junior School and College, before embarking on a long and successful career in local government which saw him serve several councils before settling in Oxfordshire. He was also a dedicated contributor to various local causes, and continued this on retirement. His contribution was recognised by the award of an MBE for services to the local community in 2015.
Malcolm maintained a strong affection for Cheltenham throughout his life, and took particular pleasure in the Cheltenham Cricket Festival and carol services in Chapel, both of which he continued to attend until very recently.
Malcolm is greatly missed by his wife, Prue, sons Chris and Nick, daughters-in-law Joann and Hayley, and grandchildren Alasdair, Katie, Alf and Hannah.
